Shourya K. Chakravarty

Shourya K. Chakravarty is currently CHRO of Aptech Limited (a pioneer in the non-formal vocational training business in the country with a significant global presence). In this role, he leads HR, CSR, Administration and Employee Communications. He is a systems-driven & people-oriented leader and has a proven track record of transforming the HR framework from reactive to proactive to deliver business outcomes by actively engaging with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including the Board, CXOs, and employees. Leading a dynamic team of professionals, he has played a pivotal role in formulating the overall people strategy and its effective execution; creating, and nurturing an empathetic culture, and strategically reworking systems, policies, and governance mechanisms to ensure they are in tune with the overall business requirements. Under his able leadership, Aptech was appraised at Maturity Level 5 of PCMM, won the Golden Peacock National Training Award (2019, 2023 & 2024) and twice recognized as a Great Place to Work.

An MBA in HR from XISS Ranchi, Shourya began his career in 1996 with the Aditya Birla Group, working in both manufacturing and corporate functions across various businesses. He subsequently worked with marquee companies like General Mills India, GE, HSBC, and Firstsource Solutions, in roles of increasing responsibilities and complexities. From February 2021 to June 2022, he was the CHRO of QualityKiosk Technologies, where he led HR Transformation. He rejoined Aptech in July 2022.
