Paulomi Desai

I am Paulomi Desai is the Chief People Officer (CPO) at Niwas Housing Finance, a leading financial institution focused on providing affordable housing solutions. In my role here, I oversee the organization’s human resources strategies and initiatives, working to align the workforce with Niwas Housing Finance's mission and goals. I play a crucial role in shaping the company’s talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development processes, all while fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.

Prior to this, I have worked with Khaitan & Co. as an Associate Director, where I was instrumental in managing HR operations, Performance Management, Leadership / Partner development, and employee engagement within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

I also served as Lead HR at Reliance Jio Infocomm, one of India's largest telecom companies, where I played a critical role in driving HR strategy, fostering employee relations, and supporting organizational growth during a period of rapid expansion. My work there involved aligning HR practices with business objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, engagement, and creating a positive workplace culture.

In addition, I worked as HR Business Partner at AVIVA Life Insurance, where I worked closely with leadership teams to integrate HR initiatives with business goals. My responsibilities included business partnering with the West region leadership, talent acquisition for the region, and employee engagement, ensuring that HR practices supported the company’s mission to be a top-tier player in the insurance sector.

Throughout my career so far, I have demonstrated a strong ability to blend strategic HR leadership with a deep understanding of business needs, and have continuously worked to build environments where employees are motivated, engaged, and aligned with the organization's vision.
