Michelle Senanayake

Michelle has over 27 years of Corporate experience of which 15 years have been in leading HR across multiple industries including Banking. She started her career at HSBC and is a Chartered Member of the CIPM and a Professional member of the AHRP, with experience in senior HR Specialist and Generalist roles including – HR Centralization, Learning, Organisational Development, Industrial & Employee Relations, Strategic Business Partnering, designing and implementing Performance Management tools, Global Talent Strategies, Retention Practices, Leadership Training (Design and Delivery), Diversity and Sustainability, IR matters and creating ‘Great Places to work’.

Hands-on experience in Banking Operations, Operational Risk Management, General Operational Auditing, Quality Auditing, Compliance and Anti-money Laundering, Branch Management and Project Management (Including special system project management, Productivity Measurement for non-customer facing areas, workflow analysis and business process re-engineering & special event management).

She holds an MBA-HR from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) - University of Sri Jayawardenapura and is an International Coaching Federation Certified Professional Coach, recipient of the ‘Top 50 Women in Management Awards for 2018’, IPMA Certified HR Professional with certification from SHL and Aon Hewitt for her competency in M&As, rewards management, performance management, job evaluations, OPQ interpretation and running assessment centres, she is also Hogan Certified. Additionally, she serves as an Executive Committee Member of Sunshine Holdings.
