Biography

Geza is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of The HR Nephew. He holds a role of the Non-Executive Director at the Institute of People Management (IPM) and serves as the Chairperson of the IPM Pretoria Branch. Furthermore, he holds the position of the Board Member at UNISA Talent Advisory Board and former Board member at Independent Non-Executive Director for Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) where he served serves as a committee member for its Human Resources and Remuneration Committee. His most recent executive assignment, he occupied a position of the Executive: Human Resources & Organisational Development for Gautrain Management Agency “aka” (the GMA) in Midrand, Johannesburg. Prior joining the GMA, Geza worked for local and Multinational Corporations (MNC’s) which amongst others they included the global giant science & research company, Du Pont de Nemours International as a Regional Director for Sub Sahara Africa. Geza has 25 years of human resources experience which includes consulting and advisory.

Geza also spent some time with national, provincial, and local government (South African Revenue Service, Council for Science and Industrial Research, South African Express Airways, Gauteng Partnership Fund and Mining Health & Safety Council) occupying senior HR management roles. His most recent role with South African Provincial Government was that of an HR Executive for Gauteng Partnership Fund where he worked closely with EXCO and played and advisory role to the Board and its Sub-committees (i.e., HR Committee of the Board and Audit & Risk Committee).
Since the beginning of his career as an HR Consultant with General Motors of South Africa (Delta Motor corporations, at the time) in 1998, Geza has swiftly progressed up the corporate ladder with both strategic and operational roles like the listed JSE Sasol Limited, Du Pont de Nemours South Africa, Volkswagen of South Africa, and Kraft Foods of South Africa. With Du Pont he was responsible for “The Growth Strategy for Africa,” his main assignment, was robustly driving Human Capital Strategy and Talent Acquisition & Mobility Strategies in 35 geographic areas of operation in Africa, delivering Du Pont’s African Footprint.

As a Head of Human Resources for Sasol Dyno Nobel, his assignment was developing, implementing, and driving people strategies and aligning them with bigger organizational strategic agenda. He played a crucial role in both the organizational Transformation, Diversity & Inclusion.
Geza has also enjoyed memberships to many professional bodies, forums, and industry organization, where he gives back to community. These have included serving as a Committee member of American Chamber of Commerce of South Africa – on its Skills & Labour Forum; BBBEE & Transformation Forum. Member of Black Management Forum, Institute of Directors, and South African Board of Personnel Practice.
In 1997 he completed a Bachelor of Arts Psychology, in 1999 an Honours Degree in Human Resources & Labour Relations Management. He also obtained a Management Development Program (MDP) with Stellenbosch Business School of Executive Development in 2005. He is finalizing his Masters in Business Administration. With Milpark Business School.
