Biography

Ruhie Pande is a seasoned HR professional who is passionate about coaching, leading HR transformation strategy and diversity. She holds an MSc in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck College, London. Ruhie brings with her, 2 decades of exceptional experience of building and enabling engaged and capable people power across a diverse set of industries. In her career in Human Resources, she has worked with some of the best companies in India across sectors like financial services, Real Estate, Fashion Retail, Information Technology and FMCG.

Currently she allays the role of Chief Human Resources Officer with the 125-year-old international conglomerate Godrej Group, for their newest company, Godrej Capital. She joined this division as employee #1 and has been instrumental in handpicking and onboarding the CXO or the co- founder team and now is working on the key levers of the people strategy to enable a best-in-class financial institution.

Ruhie says that Training and coaching have been her core strengths. In fact, she began her career in the Human Resources function as a trainer and coach and the years ahead saw her taking on the baton of the head of HR where she built upon her passion for people management and development. She is passionate about coaching individuals both within and outside the organizations. To further this, she also got certified as a Professional Certified Coach.

However, her hunger of learning has not stopped there. In the last year, she enrolled & completed an MSc in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Birkbeck College, London. By way of this program, she also got the opportunity to learn and grow with a bunch of smart individuals from varied countries, of diverse ages, backgrounds, and life experiences. The learning has been immense - both personally and on campus.

Ruhie has won several awards and received industry recognition throughout her career for her contribution to HR including 100 most influential HR leaders in India by CHRO Asia, 25 most talented HR professionals in Retail by Asia Retail Congress, and Leading woman in HR by IIGBI in the 4th Women Leaders awards in India. As an accomplished leader and domain expert, Ruhie is a part of many Domestic and International HR and Leadership forums. She has been a part of many women forums and has been mentoring young women leaders.

Ruhie is deeply interested in research and aims to conduct and publish research papers focused on Diversity and Inclusion. She blogs at ruhiepande.com and loves to write about current topics of relevance.
