Profile
Priyom Sarkar is a seasoned Strategy professional with deep understanding of and recognized achievements in Mobile, Digital Media and Consumer industries. He is presently working as Senior Director of Corp. Strategy in Viacom18 (50-50 JV between RIL and Viacom) on M&A, Business Transformation and Strategic Initiatives. In his current role, he has led several transformation initiatives and created the group's investment thesis on end-to-end M&A and Corporate Venturing activities. He is presently focussed on defining the growth plan for Viacom18's digital ventures (VOOT and other apps) and optimizing the revenue funnel.
In his previous role, Priyom managed the governance stream in Business Transformation project at Reliance Industries (RIL) across Oil and Gas Businesses. He held workshops with top 100 leaders to create Balanced Scorecards and design the strategy map. He also helped prepare the business plan for pan-India rollout of Jio (4G telecom services). In an earlier avatar, he was a consultant with PwC, advising clients across industries on Strategy and Performance Improvement projects in India and US.
Priyom earned his MBA from the Indian School of Business graduating in the Dean's List, having ranked among top 3% of his batch.
