Biography

A well-rounded Human Resources Professional with 25+ years of both Local and International experience, in leading multinational companies including British American Tobacco Plc (BAT), Royal Dutch Shell, General Electric Company (GE), and in a leading regional brand, National Social Security Fund Uganda.

Milton is currently Chief People & Culture Officer at the National Social Security Fund. He has previously held several senior HR leadership positions, including HR Director BAT Eastern and Southern Africa, before moving on to become HR Director for BAT West and Central Africa. He joined Royal Dutch Shell Plc as HR Director for Anglophone Africa, with HR responsibility for all the English-speaking countries in Africa. After 7 years with Shell, he joined General Electric Company (GE) where he was HR Director Africa.

Milton has worked in several countries across Africa, in Europe, and the US over the years. Well experienced in stewarding Strategic Human Resource Leadership and Business Partnership at Board level, and in multi country structures.

He is passionate about Talent optimization, Leading Organizational Change, Driving a High-Performance Culture and Executive Coaching.

Holds an MBA in Strategic Human Resource Management (University of Leicester, UK), Certificate in Global Business Leadership (INSEAD Business School, France) and a bachelor’s degree in economics and public administration (Makerere University).

Milton is an Advanced Professional Coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He is also a member of League of East Africa Directors, LEAD.
