Karen studied Finances and International Relations and got a Master Degree on Strategic Business Management. Karen has been an international consultant and speaker for organizational development topics as well as strategic HR role at private and public companies. Being consultant, she designed and implemented strategies for organizational strengthening because of change processes and developed managerial and general skills programs for different organizational levels. She has also worked defining corporate and department strategy at different companies, translating those strategies into tangible objectives, defined key performers indicators and medium and long term goals for each objective, as well as strategic initiatives/projects, according with the Balanced Scorecard practices.
Karen also coordinated a national program with the World Bank mission in Colombia, supporting private initiatives for reconverting Colombian labor force and advised the design and running of training, qualification and labor reconverting plans at national and multinational private firms.
Today she’s the Learning & Development director at Colombia’s largest consumption company and second most important business for SABMiller in the world. She joined the company to lead the Performance Management process implementation and now she is conducting the new development and training strategy for non-professional and directive levels.
