Judhajit graduated in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and thereafter, completed his Post Graduation in Human Resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
He started his career with RPG Enterprises as a Management Trainee in 1995 and spent the first year in various assignments relating to factory operations and industrial relations. Thereafter, he was placed at the Group Corporate Office where he was responsible for supporting various group level HR initiatives around leadership hiring, leadership assessment & talent management, training & leadership development, performance management etc.
In February 1998, Judhajit moved as HR Manager for the Gramophone Co. of India Ltd. (formerly HMV and now Sa Re Ga Ma) where he was responsible for heading the HR function. During this stint he was actively involved in revamping of HR systems & processes and in leading change management & organizational culture building initiatives.

In August 1999, Judhajit joined GE Capital in their credit cards division. This was a start up joint venture with State Bank of India and during his stint with GE, he worked in a generalist HR role spanning hiring, induction, performance management, employee communication and on various six sigma projects in HR relating to career development and competency building.
Judhajit joined the insurance sector with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited in November 2000 in generalist HR role. This was a start up experience and involved contributing across a gamut of HR functions. In 2003, he moved to head the training and capability development functions including training for sales & customer service & operations.
Since August 2005, Judhajit has headed HR at ICICI Prudential as Chief – Human Resources. During his stint as Chief HR, the organization grew from 5000 to 30,000 employees across 2000 locations. The focus was on building a robust & scalable HR infrastructure through automation & technology deployment to support the growth of the organization. Learning & Growth is one of the key employee value propositions at ICICI Prudential and embedding capabilities in employees and organization culture building are some of the key initiatives he is driving currently at ICICI Prudential.
Judhajit is interested in current affairs, history, politics, sports & wildlife. He is married to Isheeta who is a Healthcare Consultant and they have a son named Adarsh.
