HR generalist with over 24 years’ of industry experience (out of which, 14 years as HOD in Indian Corporates, a South Korean J V & a Japanese MNC).Presently working as Head – Group HR in ABG Shipyard Ltd.( ABG is the largest shipbuilding company in India in the private sector and has major interests in shipping, ship repair & refit, offshore rigs, cement, engineering & construction, e waste recycling etc).Previously worked as Head of H R-(Talent & Branding), in Heavy Engineering Division of Larsen & Toubro Ltd and prior to that as Sr.Vice President - Group HR and head, in the now 3 billion USD Welspun Group of Companies.

With a strong focus on Human Resource Management, the area of expertise / exposure pertains to the entire gamut of HR, Personnel/IR functions. Have led projects/interventions viz., Career Development & Succession Planning, Leadership Development, Performance Management Systems, Salary Survey & Compensation Design, Talent Acquisition, Development & Retention Strategies, Employee Engagement, HR Systems design, Competency assessment etc., among others. Also have extensive IR exposure including labour management, productivity, COD/Settlements, etc. Have participated / collaborated with leading International HR & Management consulting firms for various H R interventions/projects in organizations worked for.

Have majored in Public Administration and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law besides professional qualification in HR, Training and Development. Have done two Extension Programs, one in General Management and the other in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. International Invites: Summit on Human Capital Management as guest & subject matter expert, on invitation from University of Chicago in May 2004 at Chicago. Chaired a session, on invitation, at the VIII Annual International Conference organized by Society of Operations Management in association with National Institute of Industrial Engineering, India and College of Administrative Science, University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA, in December 2004. (Conference Theme was Supply Chain Management in Global Enterprise). Presented a Company Best Practice on Group Performance Award Scheme at a Gallup International Manufacturing Roundtable, on invitation, at Chicago, USA, in May 2005 & HR Roundtable, Consulate of Netherlands, 2007.
