Mr P.R.Joshi (born October 1953) is President, Group Human Resources and Corporate Communications of the Zydus Group, one of India’s leading pharmaceutical groups. He holds a masters degree in English literature from Gujarat University and has a post graduate diploma in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from M.S University, Vadodara.

Under Mr. Joshi’s leadership, HR has emerged as a strategic partner contributing to Zydus’ astounding growth for over a decade. From a turnover of Rs. 200 crore in 1995, the group posted a turnover of over Rs. 1800 crores in 2006-07. It has also successfully globalised its operations and emerged as a global healthcare provider.

At every step of the way, HR has been helping the organisation face the challenges of growth. Spearheading a wide specturm of initiatives from organisational transformation to change management, leadership building, employee engagement and global talent management, HR has played a critical role in helping the organisation gear up for the future.

In recognition of these outstanding efforts, Mr. Joshi and the Team HR were lauded with the "Organisation with Innovative HR Practices" award at the World HRD Congress held at Mumbai in February 2006. In the Asia Pacific HRM Congress in February 2007, Mr. Joshi was also felicitated with the ‘HR Leadership Award’.

Equally noteworthy are his contributions in the field of Corporate Communications. For his distinguished career in the field of communications, Mr. P.R. Joshi was conferred with the ‘Fellow of the Brain Trust of ABCI’ by the Association of Business Communicators of India in April 2007. His contribution in the field of Corporate Communications fetched him the IMM Advertising and PR Man of the Year Award in 1996.

Mr. P.R. Joshi was the Chairman of Public Relations Society of India (Ahmedabad Chapter) for two consecutive terms from 1985-86. He was the Vice President (West) and Chairman, Western Council (1995-96), comprising Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bhopal, Mumbai and Pune chapters of Public Relations Society of India.

By virtue of his interest and insight in the subject of Corporate Communications and Human Resources, he has been invited to deliver talks at scores of seminars and symposiums. He was one of the invitees at the international conference on strategic human resources organised by the Institute of International Research at Singapore in September 1997. He has been a visiting faculty for the post-graduate courses in Journalism and Public Relations at the Gujarat University.

He is associated with professional organisations like the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA), The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Advertising Club Mumbai, Asian Institute of Public Relations & Communications (AIPR) and the Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI).
