Nitin has 10 years of experience in the field of leadership development and counseling and has been a consultant for various knowledge sharing sessions at different institutes/organizations in the United States. Some of his uplifting, enlightening and inspiring sessions have been on Charismatic Leadership, Motivation, Team Building, Time Management, Confidence Building and Personality Development amongst many others.He has a Bachelor’s in Psychology along with a Master’s in Education and a specialization in Student Development and Counseling from the United States. He is also a certified counselor from the American Psychological Association in the field of personal Counseling.
As a counselor and mentor for leadership development, he has worked closely with Gen-Y as a consultant and trainer in the field of leadership development. One of the highlights of his career was whenhe helped with President Obama’s Presidential campaign in 2007-08 for the Midwesterncollege states. During this time, he worked with the College Democrats of America, had the humble opportunity to meet the president and also helped organise a college rally for him at Michigan State University. Hewas part of the rigorous marketing campaign that helped connect college students at Midwestern universities to the President’s message. One of the key strengths of President Obama lay in his ability to relate with Gen-Y and he used that to his advantage during his campaign. This was very clear from his choice of his campaign slogan and song that he used to connect better with the younger population. As a result the 2008 Presidential elections had the second highest youth voter turnout in US history.
Nitinhas also presented several case studies and seminars at national and international conferences such as The National Association for School Personnel Association (NASPA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and Association for College & University Housing Organization - International (ACUHO-I), on topics ranging from Leadership Development, Intercultural Communication, and a 21st. Century Global Mindset. Hehas been recognized with awards such as The Dolby Award for the Enhancement for Racial & Ethnic Diversity, given to him by the President of Northern Illinois University and the Outstanding Global Trainer Award at Michigan State University. Along with his current role at Training Vision,Nitin is also working on completing his PhD in Higher Education and by the end of this year plans to publish his first book called “Preparing the Future India”.
