Asitha possesses 13 years of experience in Human Resources, nearly seven of which were in Managerial positions. His numerous qualifications include a MBA from Edith Cowan University, Australia, an IPMA-CP (Certified HR Professional) from IPMA-HR USA, a Diploma in HRM from the London Business School, Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM UK and a Certificate in HRM from the Institute of Personnel Management. He is a member of SHRM-USA and IPMA-HR USA. Asitha is also an active member ofthe Association of HR Professionals, Sri Lanka where he has held Executive Committee positions for the last six years including the Vice Presidency of the Association in the year 2009.

Asitha gives leadership to the HR function of Expolanka Holdings PLC, a diversified conglomerate listed in the Main Board of the Colombo Stock Exchange with interests in Transportation, International Trading, Manufacturing and Strategic Investments. The company has a global presence in over 12 countries and 38 cities with a workforce of over 2,500.Prior to his six years spent with the Expolanka group, Asitha worked at the reputed conglomerate, Hemas Holdings PLC. His skill in directing HR initiatives has earned him several leadership positions and he has engaged in many national and international HR forums and projects.
