Anil has over 25 years of full time experience in the field of people management and strategic human resource consulting. He has consistently partnered with senior leadership in creating a progressive culture built on core values while executing various people programs in alignment with business needs, thus resulting in happier and more effective employees, satisfied customers and better company performance.

Anil spent 8 years with the hospitality industry leader Oberoi Hotels in a customer facing role and was Director Human Resources with USA based IT leader, Novell Inc for 10 years. In his fifth year with the Wadhawan Group, he leads the HR function for the group engaging 5000 employees across Financial Services, International Real Estate, Retail, Hospitality and the Education business.

He is invited to speak at various forums including the prestigious, World HRD Congress in Jan 2001 & Feb 2011 held in Mumbai which had over 80 international speakers from leading organizations around the world. He was invited for consultation in Jan 2009 by members of a sub-committee formed under The Planning Commission of India to make recommendations to remodel the Apprenticeship regime in the country. The Retail Association of India (RAI) invited Anil to be a member of the Sector Skill Council set up by National Skill Development Corporation, a not-for-profit company set up by the Ministry of Finance to further the cause of creating a trained workforce to cater to the growth of the Retail industry.

Anil was inducted to the advisory council of the 2007 Asia Pacific HRM Congress, continues to be on the advisory board of a popular HR journal, HR News & Views, is a core member of the HR committee of RAI and was a jury member to help select winners at the World HRD Congress for 3 consecutive years between 2009 to 2011. Anil was also invited to be on the jury of the 19th Business School Affaire & Dewang Mehta Business School Awards.
He continues to write for several leading publications, sharing his learning and contributing to the development of Human Resources in India.

He received the Global HR Excellence Award for HR Leadership 2010-11 at the World HRD Congress held in Mumbai and the International Distinguished Leadership Award 2011 at the Africa-India Partnership summit held in Mauritius.

Anil has traveled across the globe and has wide exposure to international HR best practices, having worked with some of the best HR and business professionals worldwide.

Education
Anil holds an MBA (HR Specialization) degree from NMIMS, Law degree from Ruparel’s New Law College and a Bachelor’s in Commerce degree, all received from the University of Mumbai. Anil is a gold medalist in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
