Prior to taking over as Chief General Manager & Principal, College of Agricultural Banking (CAB), Pune, Sandip Ghose, a central banker by profession, served as Chief General Manager-in-Charge of Human Resources & Strategic Planning, as also Principal, Bankers Training College, Mumbai, for a period of 4 years, overseeing recruitment, training, performance, compensation and industrial relations.  His responsibilities included formulation and monitoring of the Strategic Action Plan (SAP) for the RBI, as also grooming and capacity building of top management of public sector  banks in India.

Sandip has also served as Chief of Staff and Advisor to three successive Governors (Dr. C Rangarajan, Dr. Bimal Jalan and Dr. Y.V.Reddy) over a period of 9 years, viz. 1996-2004. He was instrumental in the setting up of the Human Resources Development Department in the RBI in 1995. He continues to serve as a Director/Member on the boards of National  level training Institutes.
 
His knowledge of job markets and work place effectiveness, coupled with his experience both within the country and abroad, provide a comprehensive perspective to institutions in formulating policies on training, performance and talent management.
