Matangi Gowrishankar is a BA in Sociology and is a post graduate in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI She joined BP India Services Pvt. Ltd. in June 2006 as Human Resources Director - for BP in India and the Transcon region of the Lubricants business of BP. The region spans India, Africa, Middle East, South Asian and Turkey . She relocated from the UK where she was Worldwide Director, Human Resources for Cummins Turbo Technologies.

She has nearly three decades of business and HR experience with leading Indian and Multinational companies such as Standard Chartered Bank, Reebok India, GE, ICIL and Cummins . She has a passion for and a strong track record in leading change and organization development both in India and overseas.
