Madan Padaki is the Co-founder
& CEO of MeritTrac Services Pvt. Ltd. MeritTrac is India's Largest
Skills Assessments Company and is headquartered in Bangalore.
Madan completed his engineering
from the National Institute of Engineering, University of Mysore
and joined Wipro Corporation - Fluid Power unit in Export Sales.
Attracted by the booming IT industry, he moved on to Infosys Technologies
into a Product Management & Marketing role. After a year’s
stint, he went on to pursue his MBA from S.P.Jain Institute of Management
& Research, Mumbai. On graduating in 1999, he joined BFL Software
(now Mphasis/EDS) in Business Development and was posted to Tokyo
in a role that involved setting up their operations in the Far East.
Bitten by the entrepreneurial bug
in Aug 2000, he conceived and co-founded MeritTrac – as a
pioneering idea in skills assessment. MeritTrac is today India’s
Largest Skills Assessment Company and was recently recognized as
a winner of the Red Herring Top 100 Asia, Deloitte Technology Fast
50 India and Fast 500 Asia-Pacific awards as well as the NASSCOM
IT Innovation award.
INSEAD, Europe’s Leading Business
School has written a case-study on MeritTrac and this case-study
is a part of INSEAD’s Entrepreneurship courses where Madan
is an invited guest faculty. MeritTrac has also been featured extensively
in a book on Entrepreneurship, titled “Mastering Business
in Asia” – by Prof. Patrick Turner & Chris Boulton.
Madan is an active speaker at many
forums specifically on topics pertaining to Assessments, Talent
Pools & Employability Enhancement. He is also the author of
several articles on HR & Employability which have been featured
in leading publications across India. He is extensively quoted in
the media as an expert in the field of assessments, talent pools
and featured in articles on entrepreneurship. He serves on the Governing
Council of DOEACC, an organisation of the Ministry of IT, Govt.
of India to evaluate IT education in India. He is also an active
member of NASSCOM, CII, and a charter member of TiE.
