Today, the BPO industry—which has grown manifold in size and matured in terms of service delivery capability and footprint—stands at a crossroads. While at the one end, it continues to log in high growth, maintain momentum year-on-year and hold its place as an outsourcing “destination of choice,” at the other, it is being challenged by concerns related to econo mically recessive conditions in the US, a strengthening rupee, maintaining competitiveness and building skills in a growing workforce. Besides positioning themselves strongly in the emerging business transformation space, they are also embracing new and innovative business models for growth. The highlight of this Mega Initiative is that it brings together the greatest minds from the industry as panelists to reflect on the critical juncture at which the BPO industry stands and discuss the need for innovative ways to ensure sust ained growth and success of the industry.
